Bridge Moulds – IBEC (Indian Bridge Equipment and Construction)
Mould for Bridge Girders
Used mainly in industrial buildings and public works, IBEC specializes in providing high-quality moulds designed for the construction of bridge girders. Our advanced moulding systems are tailored to meet the diverse needs of infrastructure projects, including bridges, highways, and viaducts. Below is a detailed description of our moulding systems for bridge girders.
1. Base and Side Moulds:
Base (Universal Casting Bed System): The foundation of our moulding system is a universal casting bed, which can be an existing concrete slab or another type of bottom. This base provides the support on which various precast elements are cast.
I-Shaped Side Moulds: These side moulds are equipped with a quick fixing system allowing different positions to adjust the size of the bridge beam to be produced. The sides are placed on top of the base with an adjustable system to regulate the width of the track through a single base plate.
2. Structural Features:
Modular Height Adjustment: Our side moulds come with modular height adjustment to manufacture parts of varying heights. The length of the pieces can also be adjusted by placing tapes along the sides.
Anchored Structure: The structure is anchored to the ground, ensuring stability during the casting process. The side moulds are fixed to the lower base plate with a quick locking system for different size adjustments.
3. Operation and Maintenance:
Opening/Closing Mechanism: The side moulds feature either manual or hydraulic opening and closing systems, facilitating easy handling and maintenance.
Pneumatic Vibration System: To ensure proper compaction of the concrete, our moulds are equipped with a pneumatic vibration system consisting of VSP vibrators, a circuit of pipes, and accessories connected to the customer’s compressor.
Heating System: To increase productivity by reducing waiting time, we offer a heating system with finned tubes placed along the sides of the mould.
4. Expansion Capabilities:
Structure Extensions: Our system can be expanded by acquiring additional structure extensions, base plates, and modular side moulds, allowing the production of different reinforced or prestressed elements.
Complementary Equipment: Essential accessories for producing prestressed beams include hydraulic control units, tensioning lances, relaxation heads for slackening, winder for cables, giraffe vehicles for concrete pouring, and concrete buckets.
Some other moulds where our we are specialized in are:
1. Precast Concrete Moulds
Precast concrete moulds, such as segment moulds, box girder moulds, and pier moulds, are crucial in bridge construction. Segment moulds are used to manufacture precast concrete segments, which are then assembled on-site to form the bridge structure. Box girder moulds produce box girders, known for their robust structural capabilities and suitability for longer spans. Pier moulds cast precast pier segments, supporting the bridge structure and transferring loads to the foundation. The use of precast concrete moulds ensures precision and efficiency in construction processes, aligning with IBEC's commitment to quality and innovation in bridge construction.
2. Steel Moulds
Steel formwork moulds are essential for casting various concrete elements like beams, slabs, and columns in bridge construction. These moulds offer durability and reusability, ensuring consistent quality and dimensional accuracy in concrete components. Steel formwork supports the creation of complex structural elements, meeting the stringent requirements of modern bridge designs. This aligns with IBEC's focus on efficient construction practices and sustainable infrastructure development.
3. FRP (Fiberglass-Reinforced Plastics) Moulds
FRP formwork moulds provide lightweight and durable alternatives for casting concrete elements in challenging environments. They offer excellent corrosion resistance and ease of handling, enhancing construction productivity and supporting the production of high-quality, customized concrete components. FRP moulds contribute to IBEC's goal of sustainable and innovative bridge construction solutions.
4. Customized Architectural Moulds
Architectural moulds enable the incorporation of decorative elements and specialized components in bridge construction, enhancing both aesthetics and functionality. These moulds accommodate unique design visions and technical specifications, ensuring the seamless integration of aesthetics with structural integrity. This capability supports IBEC's reputation for delivering bespoke and visually appealing bridge projects.
5. Bridge Parapet Moulds
Bridge parapet moulds are essential for casting safety barriers on bridge structures, ensuring uniformity and compliance with safety standards. These moulds contribute to the safety and usability of bridges, aligning with IBEC's commitment to enhancing infrastructure safety and security.
6. Casting Beds and Tables
Casting beds and tables provide a controlled environment for casting large concrete components such as bridge decks or segments. They ensure uniformity and structural integrity in bridge elements, supporting efficient production processes and quality control. This capability enhances IBEC's ability to deliver durable and reliable bridge components.
These points demonstrate how each type of mould and formwork contributes to IBEC's capabilities in bridge construction, emphasizing precision, efficiency, and quality in their projects.
